2002 Opening of the Gray Bear golf course, Tále

A festive and at the very important moment for the region and the whole Slovakia - the official opening of the first championship eighteen-hole golf course in Tále, took place with the participation of more than 500 guests. The first tee shot fell to legendary professional golfer and Ryder Cup captain Tony Jacklin.

2003 International Slovak Championship on wounds

After the opening of the Gray Bear golf course, the Slovak Championship was played for the first time on a Slovak course. 158 people registered for the open individual tournament, but the competition committee had to limit the number of starters to 20 women and 100 men. In addition to well-known Slovak golfers, there were also Czech and Austrian golfers in the 120-member competition.

2005 Qualification for the World Amateur Championship - World Golfers Championship

The World Golfers Championship is the world's largest amateur golf project, the brainchild of Sven Tumba Johansson, a Swedish hockey and golf legend.

2006 European Masters Senior Golf Championship

In cooperation with the Tále Golf Club, the Europen Masters Senior Golf Championship was held on 19-21 July 2006 at the Gray Bear Golf Course. The tournament included two competitions- the European Senior Team Championship "Challenge Ivan Maura" and the European Senior Team Cup "Challenge Adriaan de Brujin".

2008 ŽP Pipex Cup – Czech PGA Tour 2008

The ŽP Pipex Cup has been a competition for professionals since 2008. In 2009 it became one of two tournaments abroad to be part of the Pilsner Urquell Czech PGA Tour, one of the best subsidized tournaments in the Czech professional series. In 2009 with international participation of 53 professional and 29 amateur players. Zuzana Kamasová, Jeff Sikute and Jozef Soták competed for the Tále Golf Club.

2010 - 2014 Allianz Ladies Slovak Open - LET

V rokoch 2010 - 2014 sa Ladies European Tour hrala na 27 ihriskách v 20 krajinách sveta, vrátane Ázie, Austrálie a Nového Zélandu. Slovensko bolo jedinou krajinou strednej a východnej Európy, kde uvedená túra zavítala. Na golfovom ihrisku Gray Bear, Tále svoje golfové umenie predviedlo 126 hráčok z 26 krajín sveta.

2014 Little Bear golf academy opening

Exactly 12 years after the opening of the 18-hole championship course, a unique two-way golf course was opened. A 9-hole academy called Little Bear by the designers of 1. of the championship course in Slovakia Gray Bear, Tále - by Americans Bob Walton and Skip Malek - is designed especially for children and beginners, but it has something to give to experienced golfers as well. Even experienced golfers can practice short game, chipping and putting here. The opening was also attended by famous faces such as Zuzana Kamasová, Miroslav Šatan and Peter Bondra.

Gray Bear golf course

The Gray Bear golf course was opened on August 8, 2002. It is located in the beautiful environment of the Low Tatras National Park, in the Tále recreation center with a fully developed infrastructure. The golf course covers an area of approximately of 60 hectares.

The golf course was designed by the American firm International Golf Course Design South Carolina with designers Bob Walton and Skip Malek. The course was shaped by the Scottish company Southern Golf Ltd.

In 2019, Gray Bear received a Quality Certificate with a maximum of 5* for the services provided.

Little Bear golf academy

A unique 9-hole concept that you can play in both directions


The Little Bear Golf academy is suitable not only for beginning golfers, but also for advanced golfers who can improve their short game.

Playing at Little Bear Golf Academy is not limited by handicap. Individual golfers with a basic HCP of 54 and below can play here.

It is interesting that the golf academy can also be played in reverse, i.e. j. from two directions. It is a unique concept - the first and only one in Slovakia.

The couse is designed as a half couse with half impact zones to improve the short game. Little Bear Golf Academy had its grand opening on August 8, 2014.

The lit Little Bear playground is available from June 15 to September 15 on Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00 p.m. with the last tee time at 9:00 p.m., or in the months of July and August at 10:00 p.m.
